    Like to pay by Paypal? We still accept that method over the internet also, giving you full flexibility of paying from your preferred source of funds.

    Cancellation and Refund Policy

    If, after a booking has been made, an individual session needs to be cancelled and Flat Out Cycle Coaching are given more than 24 hours’ advance notice of the cancellation, Flat Out Cycle Coaching will endeavour to fulfil the missed session at a mutually convenient day/ time. If this is not possible, a refund will be given for that session.

     

    If an individual session is cancelled within 24 hours of it being due to take place, the cost of that session will not be refundable. If it was not paid for in advance, the cost of the session will be payable and should be paid for within 7 days of the scheduled session.

     

    If you are booking a group of bookings (i.e. Kids Into Cycling etc), only payment in full will be accepted and no refunds will be due on this type of booking due to limited placements. 

     

    If Flat Out Cycle Coaching need to cancel any individual or group bookings, this will be done at the earliest opportunity and an alternate date will be offered in the first instance, if this is not suitable a full refund will by applied to individual sessions and in part for a group of bookings.

    Introducing your coach - Matt Waters

    Flat Out Cycle Coaching has been founded by Matt Waters, a Colour Sergeant in the Royal Anglian Regiment.

    He has sufficient knowledge of cycling due to representing the British Army Team at road racing and more recently CycloCross, completing Level 2 British Cycling Coaching Certificates in CycloCross, Road and Time Trial, has attended the Wattbike Advanced Technical Workshop course and founded Chatteris Cycling Club.

    Matt is a highly motivated and enthusiastic person with strong communications in mentoring and personal development. He is very determined, setting and achieving high standards with a diverse set of skills and experiences gained from over 24 years within the military.

    Matt strives to ensure all of the client’s needs and personal goals, irrelevant of age and ability, are managed and achieved within a timely and effective manner.

    Basic Bike Fit

    1 hour bike fit at FOCC training suite

    During the course of the fit, Matt will assess the following and ensure the most effective adjustments are made in conjunction with sound advice to ensure the fit provides a more efficient way of cycling.

    • Rider history and injuries analysis

    • Rider goals (type of rider, forecasted cycling events - Race, Sportive, Challenge, Leisure)

    • Foot/Leg alignment and measurement

    • Saddle/Body positioning

    • Arm reach

    • Further advice on rider positioning and technique

    Fully Coached Outdoor Group Ride

    £10.00 Wednesdays 9.30am only.

    2 hour outdoor ride, fully coached. Max 5 per group

    Not all riders enjoy the numbers based training, but this does not mean benefits cannot be seen through structured outdoor coaching in a small group with Coach Matt. To be run through the summer months on a Wednesday morning at 9.30am, meeting at FOCC HQ.

    • Learn many outdoor riding skills

    • Structured rides to encapsulate the areas you wish to improve

    • Social learning and encouragement from others

    • Group riding techniques 

    • Bike/gear understanding and body analysis

    Wattbike Testing 

    1 hour fully coached Wattbike testing (MMP/FTP)

    Before the Wattbike test Coach Matt will assess and advise on the following aspects of riding and testing and this will then follow with a 3 minute MMP test or a 20 minute FTP test. Both will be conducted following a warm up session on the Wattbike.

    • Rider history and injuries analysis

    • Rider goals (type of rider, forecasted cycling events - Race, Sportive, Challenge, Leisure)

    • Rider set up on Wattbike

    • Introduction to Wattbike settings and displayed information

    • Structured warm up, testing and evaluation

    Fully Coached Wattbike Pay & Go Service

    1 hour fully coached Wattbike pay & go service

    Utilising the most advance and accurate indoor trainer, the Wattbike, Coach Matt will coach you through your desired session length (£30 per hour), and will tailor each session based on your goals.

    • Rider goals (type of rider, forecasted cycling events - Race, Sportive, Challenge, Leisure)

    • Structured warm up on Wattbike

    • Rider program analysis

    • Personalised and private data accessible from the FOCC Client Log In pages via the website

    • Pedalling technique analysis and advice

    Fully Coached Monthly Subscription Package

    £50.00 per month

    Fully coached and supported package for those wanting the biggest gains in their cycling.

    Suitable for all abilities from novices, through to racers.

    The monthly subscription package is an 'all you can eat' type of package that will include detailed assessment goals and achievements and 'what next?' scenarios to aim for. The package is fully supported by Coach Matt on a 1 to 1 basis.

    • Detailed rider questionnaire on application

    • Assessment review on prior training

    • Review of previous training methods undertaken

    • Assessment of current fitness levels

    • Assessment of current flexibility levels

    • Equipment advice (including some retail discount codes)

    • Nutrition and hydration advice

    • Weekly training plan accessible via the FOCC client log in centre

    • Periodical Wattbike FTP tests (MMP tests also included)
